Tecno and TCL jointly develop a 120Hz flexible display for the Phantom V Fold smartphone

Tecno has previously announced its participation in MWC 2023, where it will debut Tecno unveils Phantom V Fold smartphone with MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor at MWC 2023. Details about it are still scarce, but we know some information about the display.

Here's What We Know

So, Tecno is working in collaboration with TCL on the screen. In the summer of 2022, the companies set up a joint lab that aims to drive innovation and meet customer needs.

The new flagship display has a 120Hz refresh rate, folds in a book-like fashion and is reportedly virtually crease-free.

Additionally, Tecno has confirmed that it is already working on the successor to the Phantom V Fold, which won't be released until 2024. The smartphone is planned to get Tecno's proprietary Pattern 2.0 crease optimisation technology, which ensures that the display is virtually crease-free.

In addition, Tecno and TCL CSOT are developing another foldable gadget with a screen that will not only unfold, but also extend out of the case.
