3 years of Android OS updates and 5 years of security patches: Xiaomi has increased support for the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro flagships
Xiaomi announced the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro flagships in Europe yesterday, 26 February. As it turns out, these are the first smartphones the company plans to update within 5 years.
Here's What We Know
The relevant information has appeared on the manufacturer's official website. The new products will receive at least three major Android OS updates. Out of the box, the flagships come with Android 13 and MIUI 14. That is, the smartphones will definitely update to Android 14 with MIUI 15, Android 15 with MIUI 16 and Android 16 with MIUI 17.

In addition to the three-year OS updates, Xiaomi also promises to install current Google security patches in new products for five years. Incidentally, similar update policy now there is for smartphones Samsung, OnePlus and OPPO.
