Thales reveals when it will deliver Ground Master 200 radar for SAMP/T to Ukraine

At the beginning of February, Ukraine signed a contract with Thales for the supply of the Ground Master 200 radar. It is now known when the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive the system.

When We Can Expect It

Thales plans to deliver Ground Master 200 radar with control centre, radio communication and airborne target designation system to Ukraine in May. The company's CEO Patrice Kane told Le Journal du Dimanche. The AFU plans to use the radar together with the SAMP/T surface-to-air missile system.

Ground Master 200 (aka GM 200) is a modern medium-range radar. It is produced by French company Thales Group. It is capable of detecting air, ground and sea targets up to 250 km away. For example, cruise missiles, aircraft, helicopters, drones, artillery, etc. The Ground Master 200 is based on a Renault truck.
