Thanks to Qualcomm: smartphones from Honor, Motorola, Nothing, OPPO, Xiaomi and vivo will get satellite support

Qualcomm has revealed which smartphones will be the first to support Snapdragon Satellite technology during a presentation at MWC 2023.

Here's What We Know

So, according to the manufacturer, support for Snapdragon Satellite will appear in smartphones from Honor, Motorola, Nothing, OPPO, Xiaomi and vivo. We are talking about premium devices based on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor for now. There is no information on when the first product will be released.

Snapdragon Satellite is Qualcomm's technology that enables satellite communications support in a smartphone. It has pole-to-pole coverage and supports two-way messaging for emergency use. The technology is planned to be paired with 5G modems in all Snapdragon chip lines in the future.
