Honor Magic 5 Pro - Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 120Hz LTPO OLED display, three 50MP cameras, 512GB storage and IP68 for $1270
Honor at MWC 2023 unveiled its flagship next-generation smartphones. The first new one is the Honor Magic 5 Pro.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone features an LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and brightness up to 1800 nits. The screen measures 6.81" diagonal and has a resolution of 1312 x 2848 pixels. In the oval aperture is a 12 MP front camera with a ToF 3D sensor for 3D facial recognition to work.
At the heart of the novelty there is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor, which is complemented by 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The UFS 4.0 storage capacity is 512GB. No other modifications are provided. The next-generation flagship runs Android 13 with Magic UI 7.1 shell.
The main camera features three 50 MP modules: a main (f/1.6, 1/1.12", 1.4µm), an ultra-wide-angle (f/2U 122 degrees) and a telephoto (f/3, 3.5x zoom). The Honor Magic 5 Pro supports OIS and has laser autofocus. You can shoot video in 4K UHD at 60 FPS with HDR10+.
The power subsystem in the Honor Magic 7 Pro is represented by a 5100mAh battery with fast charging capacity of 66W by wire and 50W wirelessly. You won't need to buy a power adapter separately. Naturally, there are stereo speakers, GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and NFC. The water resistance conforms to the IP68 standard.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Honor Magic 5 Pro is priced at $1270 / £1055 / €1,200 depending on the country. The next-generation flagship will go on sale in the second quarter in several colours: Glacier Blue, Meadow Green, Coral Purple, Orange and Black.
