Garmin launches Forerunner 265 and 265S with AMOLED display, 5ATM protection, GPS and Garmin Pay for $450
Garmin has announced a pair of Forerunner 265 series smart watches. They are called the Forerunner 265 and 265S, and the difference is the size.
Here's What We Know
The Garmin Forerunner 265 features a 1.3" display with a resolution of 416 x 416 pixels. The device weighs 47g. The case has 5ATM water protection and third generation Gorilla Glass on top.
The Garmin Forerunner 265S is a more compact model. It has identical protection, but the screen diameter is reduced to 1.1" and the resolution is down to 360 x 360 pixels. The weight of the device is only 39g.
The watch is equipped with a GPS navigation receiver, 8GB of RAM and sensors for blood oxygen levels and heart rate monitoring. The Garmin Forerunner 265 and 265S can track breathing, sleep and stress levels.
The Garmin Forerunner 265s have a run time of 6 to 20 hours, depending on how much you use the smart features. The Forerunner 265S can run for up to 24 hours on a single charge. However, if all of the clever features are switched off, it will need to be charged every 13 and 15 days respectively.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The smartwatch is already available on the official Garmin website. The Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 265S are priced at $450.
