Tesla Semi and Cybertruck take part in 'drag race' - semi-truck defeats pickup
A short video has surfaced on social media showing the Cybertruck electric pick-up and Semi truck participating in the race. Apparently, it was a promotional shoot, so expect the full video soon.
Here's What We Know
A video posted on Twitter shows the Tesla Semi getting off to a sharper start than the electric pickup. According to the manufacturer, it takes five seconds for the truck to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h. But only without a load. If the body is fully laden, acceleration time increases to 20 seconds, but that's not a bad result either. Drivers who have tried the Semi in the field note the truck's excellent handling and similarity in this respect to sports cars.

As for the Cybertruck, it is not clear which version was used to shoot the video. Elon Musk's company wants to make sure its pickup outdoes the F-150. It's unclear how the Cybertruck will perform against the Ford pickup, but it managed to lose out to the Semi truck in the starting metres of the race.
The most advanced version of the Cybertruck is expected to be equipped with a four-engine powertrain and will be able to reach 100km/h in 2.5 seconds. The standard configuration will accelerate to 100 km/h in about 5 seconds, just like the Tesla Semi. A day before the American company Tesla reveals new pre-production version of Cybertruck electric pick-up at the Investor Day 2023 event.
