Deliveries not far off: Ukrainian military completes Leopard 2 tank training programme in Germany
After several weeks of training, the Ukrainian military is completing a training programme in Germany to use Leopard 2 tanks.

This was announced by the German Defence Minister, writes NDR. Deliveries of tanks will start as early as this month. In total, Germany will transfer 18 Leopard 2 tanks in the modern A6 modification to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In addition to Germany, Ukraine is also expecting 4 Leopard 2A4 tanks from Spain and 3 Leopard 2A5 tanks from Portugal in March. Incidentally, the Ukrainian armed forces have already received 14 Leopard 2A4 tanks. They were handed over by Poland.

Leopard 2 is a main battle tank developed by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The Leopard 2 is the successor to the successful development of the Leopard 1 battle tank. The Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain and Turkey. A total of 3,200 tanks of this model were produced.
