Poland will hand Ukraine first batch of MiG-29 fighters in coming days
The Polish government recently said that it was ready to transfer Soviet-made MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine. As it turned out, deliveries will start in the next few days.

Polish President Andrzej Duda made the announcement. We are talking about four planes in full working order. The rest of the planes are being maintained and prepared for delivery. By the way, overall in the Polish arsenal there are about 30 aircraft in MiG-29A and MiG-29UB modifications. Poles plan to hand over all Soviet fighters to Ukraine within a year.
Flashback
The MiG-29 is a fourth generation Soviet multirole fighter. It was the main multi-role fighter of the Warsaw Pact and the USSR during the 1980s. Now the MiG-29 is in service in many countries, including Ukraine. It has more than 15 modifications.
