The Ukrainian army has received Australian PPDS (Precision Payload Delivery System) drones.

Here's What We Know

SYPAQ's chief engineer Ross Osborne talked to The Australian. PPDS is a disposable drone that folds up out of cardboard. It is soaked in wax. Due to this PPDS can be used in wet conditions.

The UAV is capable of carrying a payload of up to 5kg. The PPDS is used by the AFU to deliver ammunition, first aid kits and food to hard-to-reach frontline locations. The PPDS can also be used as a kamikaze or reconnaissance drone. It is capable of flying distances of up to 120km.

According to the manufacturer, more than 60 deliveries to Ukraine have already been carried out. The AFU receives about 100 of these Australian drones every month.
