Which iPhone and iPad models will not receive iOS 17

Our colleagues at MacRumors have pulled up a supposed list of iPhone and iPad models that won't receive the iOS 17 update.

Here's What We Know

So, if the leak is to be believed, we're talking about 3 smartphone models and 3 tablet models: the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, the first generation iPad Pro at 9.7, the first generation iPad Pro at 12.9 inches and the fifth generation iPad. All of these devices were introduced in 2015-2017. They are now running with iOS 16 on board.

Incidentally, iOS 17 is due to be released in early June at the WWDC 2023 developer conference. According to rumors, the system won't get any drastic changes.
