Russian defence ministry building on fire in Moscow (video)

On the evening of 5 April, a building of the Russian Defence Ministry, located at 19 Znamenka Street, caught fire in Moscow.

The fire was reported by Russian media. A video has appeared on social media showing smoke.

It was initially reported that the fire broke out in an office on the fifth floor of the Apraksinykh house. It later became known that the epicentre was on the third floor. At the same time, the area of the fire increased to 30 metres.

There is no information about the cause of the fire at the moment. It should be noted that the building of the Ministry of Defence is located less than 1 km from the Moscow Kremlin.
