The first in the world: On 5 April, the official EcoFlow store was presented in Kyiv
Since the autumn of 2022, only the lazy have not heard of the EcoFlow brand. The market for portable charging stations increased several hundred times last year. However, EcoFlow began its history in Ukraine in 2020, when DroneUA became the sole and official distributor of the brand. At the end of February, gg 's editorial team talked to Valeriy Yakovenko, co-founder and managing partner of DroneUA, about energy independence, the energy crisis, and the latest EcoFlow devices. And on 5 April 2023, the world's first EcoFlow retail store was presented in Kyiv at 129 Velyka Vasylkivska Street (Lybidska metro station).
I was lucky enough to attend this opening, so in this text I will tell you what you can see in the EcoFlow store.
For the first time in Ukraine: EcoFlow portable fridge, air conditioner and lawn mower
EcoFlow is not just about portable charging stations. At the beginning of the year, the company announced three new gadgets: the EcoFlow Wave 2 air conditioner, the EcoFlow Glacier refrigerator, and the EcoFlow Blade lawn mower. And for the first time in Ukraine, you can see them live in the EcoFlow store. But what makes these gadgets unique?
- EcoFlow Wave 2: The peculiarity of this air conditioner is that it can act as a heater. So you can find a use for it throughout the year. In the fast operation mode, the air conditioner consumes about 500 watts and can run for up to 2 hours. The Wave 2 can be charged via solar panels, EcoFlow stations, or the mains.
- EcoFlow Glacier: a portable fridge that resembles a suitcase. The first feature is the ability to make ice cubes in 10-15 minutes. For this purpose, the fridge has a special compartment where water is poured. The second feature is that the Glacier has two chambers that can be adjusted independently of each other. The EcoFlow Glacier has a capacity of 38 litres.

- EcoFlow Blade: The most interesting thing you can find in the store is the Blade lawn mower. It is autonomous and robotic, configured through the app, where you can set the area to be treated (range up to 3000 m²). And if the battery is low (298 kWh capacity), it will drive itself to a charging station. Thanks to its form factor, built-in camera and LiDAR technology, EcoFlow Blade can detect obstacles, avoid them and drive on uneven surfaces.

It was thanks to this combination that the store was officially opened, as the lights were switched on with the Ecoflow Power Kit instead of cutting the red ribbon with scissors.
What's next.
Given the past winter and the excitement for the EcoFlow brand, opening a store in Ukraine is the most obvious decision, as DroneUA says Ukraine is setting trends for the global development of energy efficient systems. The full opening, when everyone will be able to visit the store, will take place on 8 April.
