US may increase shipments of Abrams tanks and Bradley Fighting Vehicles to Ukraine
While the Ukrainian Armed Forces await deliveries of the first M1 Abrams, the United States is considering the possibility of sending an additional shipment of tanks to Ukraine. The same applies to the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.
Here's What We Know
The US may send more tanks and armoured vehicles to Ukraine. Polish Defence Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, who held a press conference with US Vice-President Kamala Harris, said this.
In addition, the Polish prime minister recalled that Ukraine buys weapons from Poland, receiving money from international institutions. In particular, we are talking about self-propelled artillery systems Krab, self-propelled mortars Rak, armoured personnel carriers Rosomak and portable anti-aircraft missile systems Piorun.
As for the M1 Abrams tanks, the US had already announced the transfer of the M1A2 in winter, but deliveries would have been delayed for more than a year. Therefore, it was decided to send the M1A1 SA version to Ukraine, but in the autumn. The first batch of M2 Bradley was sent to Ukraine back in January.
