US sends first batch of M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine

The US government recently announced a military assistance package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which includes 109 M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles. Now it is reported that the first batch of BMPs has already been shipped to Ukraine.

Here's What We Know

On 25 January, the US Transportation Command loaded over 60 BMPs on an ARC Integrity rocket ship. On 27 January, the ship left the shores of North Charleston, South Carolina. On 8 February, the Rolker will arrive in the UK and then the BMP will be shipped to Ukraine.

Flashback

The M2 Bradley is the main infantry fighting vehicle that is in service with the US Army Mechanised Forces. The BMP is built on a tracked chassis and has a 25mm M242 Bushmaster automatic cannon. It also carries a TOW anti-tank guided missile system and an M240C machine gun.
