It's official: Slovakia handed over all promised MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine

Slovak Defence Minister Jaro Nad said on Facebook that Ukraine has received all the promised MiG-29 fighters.

We are talking about 13 aircraft. Their transfer was announced in March and now, a month later, all fighters are already with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. By the way, unlike the first batch, the second was handed over to Ukraine by land. According to Yaroslav Nadia, it was a difficult logistical operation.

Flashback

The MiG-29 was a fourth-generation Soviet multirole fighter. It was the flagship multirole fighter of the Warsaw Pact countries and the USSR during the 1980s. Now the MiG-29 is in service in many countries, including Ukraine. It has more than 15 modifications.
