Xiaomi unveils Bluetooth music speaker with IP68 protection for $100

Xiaomi has announced a portable speaker as part of its big presentation on 18 April 2023. The model is called the Xiaomi Sound Move.

Here's What We Know

Harman Kardon specialists were involved in the sound setup. Inside the portable speaker is a pair of stereo speakers and passive drivers. One of the features was a sensor, which is responsible for automatically adjusting the sound depending on the location of the speaker.

Xiaomi Sound Move supports AirPlay 2, has Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 5. The model is also equipped with a USB-C connector. The device weighs 568g and has overall dimensions of 17.7 x 5.55 x 5.55 cm.

According to the manufacturer, the portable speaker can last for 21 hours in music playback mode and almost a week in standby mode. The Xiaomi Sound Move supports 22W charging, can be paired with another portable speaker and has IP68 water protection.

The novelty can be used to control smart home devices with voice commands due to the support of XiaoAI virtual assistant. The Xiaomi Sound Move is priced at $100.
