The Slovenian newspaper 24ur has cited its sources for the information. It is about 20 armoured personnel carriers, which have been delivered to Ukraine this week. The delivery of the combat vehicles had been under preparation for several months. They were then transported by C17 transport aircraft "to the countries bordering Ukraine".
The Valuk APC is a licensed copy of the Austrian Pandur I armoured vehicle. According to the latest data, there were about 50 such armoured personnel carriers in service in Slovenia.
The vehicle is protected against 7.62mm bullets and 12.7mm armour-piercing ammunition. The Valuk can be equipped with a heavy machine gun or a 40-mm automatic grenade launcher.
By the way, in addition to the Valuk armored personnel carriers, Slovenia had earlier handed over to Ukraine 28 M55S tanks, 35 M80A infantry fighting vehicles and 20 HMMWVs.
