MSI recalls all GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X graphics cards due to a name misleading customers
MSI has renamed the SUPRIM series of graphics cards to SUPER. However, the company failed to calculate all the disadvantages of this decision. And now the Taiwanese giant is recalling all GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X graphics cards.
Here's What We Know
NVDIA has several models in its range with the prefix SUPER in the name. For example, the GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER. The company believes that the name GeForce RTX 3060 Ti SUPER 3X may be misleading customers into thinking that MSI is selling an RTX 3060 Ti SUPER graphics card.
NVIDIA notified MSI to recall this graphics card no matter it is called SUPER 3X or SUPER3X ????????????@VideoCardz pic.twitter.com/tuQGgGOyer

For this reason MSI is forced to recall and rename all graphics adapters. This will serve as a lesson to other manufacturers and force them to pay more attention to the naming of their products.
What's interesting in this story is that NVIDIA didn't release any SUPER graphics cards as part of the Turing (RTX 30) generation. Maybe MSI thought that this fact coupled with the fact that the video card will be sold only in Asia won't attract attention.
