Roketsan tests METE laser guided mini-missile for air, sea and ground drones
Turkish companies Roketsan and PAVO Group tested the METE mini-missile. As part of the test, the munition was launched from a Gök Alp unmanned aerial vehicle.
Here's What We Know
The developer of the METE missile is Roketsan, while PAVO Group built the Gök Alp drone. Testing of the munition has reached the finish line, after which serial production will begin.
The drone can stay in the air for 35 minutes and can lift a payload of up to 13 kg. According to the manufacturer, the Gök Alp is designed specifically to operate in challenging environments so that it is not exposed to combat factors.

METE is launched using a 40mm grenade launcher. Roketsan claims that the launch range of the new missile exceeds that of all existing conventional grenade launcher ammunition.
The Gök Alp is the first drone to launch a METE rocket. The grenade launcher can also be integrated into unmanned land and sea vehicles.
