Ukrainian Defence Minister: AFU receives about 60 Leopard 2 tanks from partners

Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov gave an interview to the French portal Ouest-France in which he explained how many Leopard 2 tanks Ukraine had received.

So, according to the Minister, the Ukrainian Armed Forces now have about 60 tanks in service. We are talking about two battalions of Leopard 2 tanks of different modifications. Ukraine received the tanks from Germany, Poland, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain and Canada.

The Leopard 2 is a main battle tank developed by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. The Leopard 2 is the successor to the successful development of the Leopard 1. The Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain and Turkey. A total of 3,200 tanks of this model have been produced.
