Meta has announced the Quest 3 next-generation VR headset. A short video shows the first details about the device

The next generation VR headset Meta Quest 3 has been announced.
Here's What We Know
Information about the new device is limited to the following facts so far:
- The VR helmet features a next-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, which is twice as powerful as the previous Quest version;
- The Quest 3 shell will be 40% thinner than Quest 2;
- The resolution of the displays will be significantly higher;
- The Touch Plus controllers will feature the Touch Pro haptic feedback support.
Meta Quest 3 is fully compatible with more than 500 games and applications in the Quest 2 catalogue, but more are in development.
The developers will be sharing more details about Meta Quest 3 at the Connect show on September 27-28.
When We Can Expect It
The device will go on sale in the fall of 2023 and will cost $499 with 128GB of internal storage.
Incidentally, the Quest 2 will drop to $300 for the 128GB version and $350 for the 256GB version starting June 4.
