Apple Mac Pro on M2 Ultra starting at $6999 spontaneously disconnects SATA-HDD after waking from sleep mode

Last week Apple unveiled a Mac Pro starting at $6999, powered by the new M2 Ultra processor. We recently wrote that it doesn't support discrete graphics cards, and now we've learned of another problem.

Here's What We Know

A new flaw in the Apple Mac Pro is the spontaneous disconnection of HDDs that are connected via SATA ports. It happens after the computer wakes up from sleep mode. It doesn't matter how the sleep mode is activated (manually or automatically).

Apparently, the problem is software-based, as Apple promises to fix it in the next operating system update. In the meantime, the company recommends selecting the "Display" section in the system settings and disabling automatic hibernation.
