Redmi Note 12R - world's first smartphone with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip from $140
Qualcomm recently announced the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. Today the first smartphone with this chip was unveiled. The novelty is called the Redmi Note 12R.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone has a plastic frame, but there is glass on the back and front. The display is built around a Full HD+ (1080 x 2460 pixels) IPS LCD panel with a 6.79" diagonal and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The casing has received IP53 splash protection.
The Redmi Note 12R is equipped with a 50 MP + 2 MP main camera with phase autofocus, but no optical stabilisation. On the front, there is a 5 MP module. Both cameras can shoot video in Full HD at 30 FPS.
The smartphone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery. The fast charging power is 18W. The novelty got a side fingerprint scanner, USB-C, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3 and a headphone jack. The software platform is MIUI 14 firmware based on Android 13.
