Is it really true? Unconfirmed information suggests Ubisoft is developing a full-fledged Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake
Rumours of a remake of the first part of Assassin's Creed have been circulating online for years, but Ubisoft could probably revive another part of the franchise.
Here's What We Know
Kotaku editor Ethan Gach has revealed that a remake of Assassin's Creed Black Flag (2013) is in the early stages of production, according to two of his sources at once. The project is so early that we shouldn't expect a quick release, if an updated game about Caribbean pirates is to be released, it will be a few years from now.
Kotaku editor found out that Ubisoft is not going to release a regular remaster, and plans to extensively expand and update the game, and will even invite the creators of the original game from Ubisoft Singapore - the same ones who unsuccessfully (for over eight years) develop Skull and Bones.
It's hard to judge how true this information is. If Ubisoft is going to remake any part of Assassin's Creed, it would be logical to assume that the company will start with the first title, especially since that is what most gamers want.
