Ukrainian Air Force destroys nearly 200 kamikaze drones and reconnaissance drones worth more than $5m and seven helicopters worth $124m in a month

Last month, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 157 missiles of various types, including ballistic and hypersonic missiles. Also during June, nearly 200 unmanned aerial vehicles worth more than $5 million and several helicopters worth about $124 million were destroyed.

Here's What We Know

The Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed 162 Lancet, Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones during the first month of summer. The vast majority of them were exactly Iranian-made drones worth about $20,000.

Another 30 drones shot down are mostly reconnaissance-level drones. The Orlan-10 or Orlan-30, for example. The model of several drones could not be ascertained.

The Ukrainian Air Force also shot down eight Russian attack helicopters in the second half of June. These included seven Ka-52 Alligator and one Mi-24, worth about $16 million and $12 million respectively.
