Last week, Xiaomi added seven 2020 smartphones in different price ranges to its EOS (End of Support) list. A few days later, the company did decide to release stable MIUI 14 firmware for the two models.
Here's What We Know
The EOS list includes the Redmi 9/9A, Redmi Note 9, Redmi 10X 4G/5G, Redmi K30i and even the flagship POCO F2 Pro. Users started massively soliciting comments, after which a Xiaomi spokesperson said that the update will come out for two models.
The Redmi 9 and Redmi Note 9 will receive the stable MIUI 14 firmware. The update will be released before the end of this year. That said, there is no word yet on whether Xiaomi plans to reconsider its decision regarding the other smartphones whose support has been discontinued.
