Discounts work wonders: familiar games - Elden Ring, RDR 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy - have returned to the Steam sales chart

There's been a big change in the Steam sales chart over the past week.

Here's What We Know

The Steam Deck handheld returned to the top spot among the most popular Steam items. Pixel shooter BattleBit Remastered remains the most popular paid game on the service, but one of last week's leaders - Six Days in Fallujah, a shooter about the war in Iraq - was not even in the top 20.

Thanks to huge discounts during the Summer Sale, the familiar games Elden Ring, RDR 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy and GTA V returned to the top ten.

The full list of Steam's top ten most profitable items from June 27 to July 4 looks like this:
