The Ukrainian Armed Forces have shot down another Russian Orlan reconnaissance drone.

Since February 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed hundreds of Russian drones. Oryx analysts counted 144 Orlan-10 drones. The Orlan-30, on the other hand, is a much rarer bird. According to Oryx, there is photo or video evidence of only six drones shot down.

The Orlan-30 has a maximum take-off weight of 27kg and can carry up to 8kg of payload. In particular, electronic reconnaissance equipment. The drone can accelerate up to 170 km/h, climb to an altitude of up to 5 km and has a range of 300 km.
