Apple has launched Tap to Pay in the UK, iPhone users can now accept payments using their phone
Apple has launched a new feature for iPhone users in the UK.
Here's What We Know
It's all about Tap to Pay. This feature allows merchants to use their iPhones as a point-of-sale terminal. The service supports Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards and other digital wallets. All you need to do to successfully make a payment is to bring another gadget or bank card to that smartphone.
The new feature works on iPhone XS or later models. To set it up, you need to download a special app. For now, Tap to Pay will work in the UK with payment platforms Revolut and Tyl by Natwest. Support for Adyen, Dojo, myPOS, Stripe, SumUp, Viva Wallet, Worldline and Zettle by PayPal will appear later.
By the way, the UK is the fourth region where Tap to Pay service has been launched. Earlier the function was launched in the US, Australia and Taiwan.
