US prepares new $1.3bn military aid package for Ukraine, to include VAMPIRE mobile missile systems to combat UAVs
The United States of America is planning to announce a new military aid package for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This was reported by the Reuters news agency, citing several officials. The new aid package will amount to $1.3bn. It will include air defence systems, as well as systems for combating UAVs. Ukraine will also receive additional ammunition and specialised drones. The new package will also include mobile missile systems VAMPIRE. They are planned to be ordered from L3Harris Technologies. It is not yet known when the new package will be announced and when deliveries of weapons will start.

The VAMPIRE is a portable system that can be mounted on pickup trucks to launch high-precision 70mm rockets. The launcher has four missiles and laser guidance with L3Harris type APKWS (AGR-20 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System) targeting. By the way, the AFU is already using VAMPIRE to combat enemy drones.
