Spain has sent Ukraine the last batch of promised Leopard 2A4 tanks

Spain has sent the last batch of German Leopard 2A4 tanks to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Here's What We Know

This was announced by Spanish Defence Minister Margarita Robles (Margarita Robles) after a meeting in the Ramstein format on July 18. It is about 4 combat vehicles. Earlier Spain transferred to the AFU 6 Leopard 2A4. The new batch of tanks is being delivered by sea. They will arrive at their destination next week.

By the way, in addition to tanks Ukraine will also receive from Spain 10 M113 armoured personnel carriers, several armoured all-terrain vehicles, trucks, ambulances and ammunition. The arms deliveries will start in the near future.

The Leopard 2 is a main battle tank built by the German company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. Leopard 2 is the successor to the successful development of the Leopard 1 battle tank. Leopard 2 has many modifications and is used by the armed forces of Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Sweden, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.
