Catch Pokémon while you sleep: Pokemon Sleep is now available for users in Europe
Pokemon Sleep, a long-awaited game for some, is now available for users in Europe. The app will allow users to catch Pokémon depending on how it assesses the quality of your sleep. You can track up to two sessions per day.
Here's What We Know
Pokemon Sleep introduces a unique approach to gameplay, where your sleep has a direct impact on catching Pokemon. The game records your sleep sessions up to two times a day, offering an immersive gaming experience while you rest. To start tracking your sleep, you need to connect your smartphone to the charger and place it on your mattress for maximum efficiency.
The sleep rating system plays an important role in Pokemon Sleep. Your sleep sessions are scored and the result affects your Pokémon catching, including increasing your chances of encountering a variety of Pokémon and discovering their different sleeping styles. Each specific Pokémon will only appear in certain sleep configurations with the phone. For example, players who sleep with their phone face down will be able to catch a special Wartortle.
If you don't want to use your own phone, there is an alternative - the Pokémon Go Plus+ device. This small, Pokéball-shaped accessory is placed on your bed while you sleep and measures your movements, transmitting data to the Pokémon Sleep app. In addition, you can catch Pokémon in Pokémon Go without opening the app.
The management of The Pokémon Company says that their idea is to create a game that "makes you look forward to waking up in the morning".
