Samsung has announced a series of smart watches Galaxy Watch 6. The line has been expanded with the Galaxy Watch 6 40/44mm and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 43/47mm models.
Here's What We Know
The smartwatch is equipped with a round display with a diameter of 1.5" or 1.3". The resolution is 480 x 480 or 432 x 432 pixels respectively. Both use a Super AMOLED matrix with Always-on and brightness up to 2000 nits, protected by sapphire glass.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Classic are equipped with a 1.4GHz Exynos 930 chip, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The software platform is Wear OS 4 with One UI 5 Watch 5 firmware.
The 44mm and 47mm versions are equipped with 425 mA*h batteries. The smaller variants have 300 mA*h batteries. The watch has received support for wireless charging based on the WPC standard. According to the manufacturer, the maximum operating time of the wearable gadget reaches 40 hours.
Novelties can collect data on the general physical condition of the user, monitor the duration and quality of sleep, make a picture of night rest, analyse the mass of skeletal muscles and metabolic rate, determine the percentage of water and fat in the body. By itself, the standard functions are also in place. We're talking about the ability to determine the level of oxygen in the blood and track heart rate. The watch can also monitor blood pressure and measure ECG.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Classic boast GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE and NFC. The case of each watch has MIL-STD-810H and IP68 protection, so they are not afraid of water, dust and shock.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The smartwatch is already available for pre-order and sales will start on 11 August. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 is priced between $300 and $380 depending on the modification. The Classic version will cost $400-480.
