Special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine have destroyed a Russian TOS-1A heavy flamethrower system. For this purpose, they used a Pegas kamikaze drone worth several hundred dollars.
Here's What We Know
The TOS-1A is a Russian weapon system that was developed in the early 2000s. It is based on the Soviet TOS-1 heavy flamethrower system. The system includes a combat vehicle, a transport and loading vehicle and rocket projectiles.
The key difference between the TOS-1A and the basic variant was the reduction in the number of guides from 30 to 24 units. In addition, the transport-loading vehicle received a chassis from a T-72 tank instead of a KrAZ vehicle.

The heavy flamethrower system uses thermobaric shells of 220 mm calibre. The maximum launch range is 6,000 metres. One salvo strikes an area of up to 40,000 square metres.
