Sharp AQUOS R7s - Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 240Hz display, IP68 and wireless charging for $1065
In May 2022, Sharp unveiled the AQUOS R7 flagship smartphone. More than 14 months later, it entered the global market. The model is now called Sharp AQUOS R7s.
Here's What We Know
The smartphone is equipped with a Full HD+ IGZO OLED panel with a frame rate of 240 Hz and brightness of 2000 nits. The 6.6" screen has received support for 10-bit colours and Dolby Vision, and has a built-in fingerprint scanner.
The Sharp AQUOS R7s is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It was a top-of-the-line chip at the time of announcement, but more than a year later, it's outdated. The performance margin will be enough though. The SoC is complemented by 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The UFS 3.1 storage is 256GB in size.
Sharp smartphones are characterised by an unusual camera resolution. Sharp AQUOS R7s is no exception. At the back are installed modules with a resolution of 47.2 MP and 1.9 MP. For selfies, a 12.6 MP sensor is used.
AQUOS R7s is equipped with a 5000 mA*h battery. In the arsenal of the smartphone there is USB-C, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Mini-Jack and wireless charging (Qi). The body of the flagship has IP68 water and dust protection.
Price & When We Can Expect It
The Sharp AQUOS R7s starts its journey in the international market in Indonesia. The smartphone has been priced at $1065.
