Apple continues to dominate the smartphone market in the US - Samsung's sales fell 37 per cent over the year, while Google grew shipments by 48 per cent
Apple continues to be the leader of the smartphone market in the US. At the end of the second quarter of 2023, the manufacturer from Cupertino continues to hold a share of more than 50%.

The US smartphone market continues to shrink. In the reporting period, sales fell by almost a quarter (24%). Against this background, even a 6 per cent decline in shipments allowed Apple to increase its share to 55%. In the previous quarter, the company controlled 52% of the market, and a year ago - 45%.
Samsung's sales fell by 37%. In this regard, the share of the South Korean company decreased from 28% to 23% compared to the second quarter of 2022. The top three was rounded out by Motorola (9%), which sold 17% fewer smartphones than a year ago.
TCL and Google rounded out the top five. The latter managed to increase shipments almost one and a half times (48%), but the share was a modest 3%. All other manufacturers totalled 7% of smartphones sold in the US market during the April-June 2023 period.
