The Ukrainian Defence Forces demonstrated the launch of three British Brimstone anti-tank missiles from an aircraft launcher for the Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet
The Ukrainian Armed Forces began receiving Brimstone anti-tank missiles last year. In a recently published video dedicated to the Special Operations Forces, the missiles can be seen being launched.
Here's What We Know
The launcher is located on a civilian truck. Images from the video show the launch of three Brimstone anti-tank missiles of unknown version.
It is worth noting that Brimstone is an air-to-surface and surface-to-surface missile. Special Operations Forces use the aircraft launcher, which is equipped with Eurofighter Typhoon fighters.
Brimstone is developed by MBDA UK. The second version missile has a launch range of over 60 kilometres when launched from a fighter aircraft. In the ground version, the range is probably no more than 15 kilometres. In flight, it can reach a speed of 450 m/s (M=1.3).
