Less than expected: Baldur's Gate III will take up 122 GB of space on your PC
Developer Larian Studios has shared new details about Baldur's Gate III ahead of its launch in early access on PC on 3 August. In particular, he spoke about Illithid abilities and their impact on your group of heroes, and in a new post on the game's page confirmed that the game will take about 122 GB of free space on your disc.
Here's What We Know
As previously reported, saves from the early version of the game will not be compatible with the final version, but Larian claims that "it's really worth starting from the beginning". Also, full support for Steam Deck with optimal graphics settings and, as a conclusion, full support for controllers was announced.
Support for AMD FSR 2.0 technology is also in the works and will be ready by 6 September, when BG III launches on PlayStation 5. As for running the game with high settings, a "good processor" along with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 will provide 1440p resolution and 60 FPS. For true 4K, however, you'll need an RTX 4080/4090 or equivalent from AMD, although you can take advantage of DLSS technology to achieve 4K at lower requirements.
