Boeing completes deliveries of F-15QA Eagle fighter jets to the Royal Qatar Air Force under a $12bn contract
US giant Boeing has shipped the latest batch of fourth-generation F-15QA Eagle fighters to Qatar. They will replace the French Mirage 2000-5F aircraft.

The Royal Qatar Air Force has ordered 36 US F-15 fighters in QA configuration to replace the Mirage 2000-5F fleet. The $12bn contract was signed in the summer of 2017.
On 31 July, a group of five F-15QA Eagle left Missouri for Mildenhall Royal Air Force Base in England. The aircraft made the flight across the Atlantic escorted by KC-10A Extender aerial refuellers.
On 2 August, the fighters, with flight numbers 17-0034 to 17-0038, left the United Kingdom for Qatar. Three Royal Qatari Air Force aircraft remain in the US, two of which are used for pilot training and another has been under repair since May 2021.
