A few years ago, Samsung upped its firmware support policy from 2 to 3 years, and after that it committed to supporting some devices for 4 years. But unfortunately, support doesn't last forever, and this year many both Samsung smartphones and tablets won't be getting a fresh version of the operating system.
Here's What We Know
So, there are a total of 19 Samsung gadgets on the list. They won't get Android 14 and the proprietary One UI 6.0 shell, and Android 13 will be the last major OS update for them:
- Galaxy S10 Lite
- Galaxy S20 FE
- Galaxy S20 / Galaxy S20+ / Galaxy S20 Ultra
- Galaxy Note 10 Lite
- Galaxy Note 20 / Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
- Galaxy Flip (LTE/5G)
- Galaxy Fold 2
- Galaxy A22 (LTE/5G)
- Galaxy A32 (LTE/5G)
- Galaxy A51
- Galaxy A71
- Galaxy Tab A8
- Galaxy Tab A7 Lite
- Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2020)
- Galaxy Tab S7 / Galaxy Tab S7+
Samsung hasn't given an exact timeline for when the One UI 6.0 update to Android 14 will start rolling out, but it should happen before the end of the year.
