Not even a year has passed: iPhone 14 Pro owners complain of rapid "ageing" of batteries
It's been less than a year since the official release of the iPhone 14 series smartphones, and owners have already encountered battery issues with the Pro models.
Here's What We Know
Over the past few months, more and more iPhone 14 Pro users have been complaining on social media and forums about the rapid loss of battery capacity. The iPhones use lithium-ion batteries, which chemically age over the life cycle of the device and gradually reduce the amount of charge they can hold. According to Apple, its smartphones should retain up to 80 per cent of their original capacity with 500 full charge cycles under normal conditions.
Users of the iPhone 14 Pro complain that in less than a year, the battery capacity has decreased by 10%, if not more. This information can be easily checked using the Battery Health feature in the settings. Some have seen their battery capacity drop to 90%, some to 88%, and some to 86%.

What's interesting is that Apple recommends replacing the battery when its maximum capacity drops below 80%. That is, some users will have to replace the battery next year, although less than 2 years will have passed since the purchase of the smartphone.
It is not clear what such indicators are connected with. Perhaps Apple has adjusted the algorithm for calculating this number compared to previous iPhone models. Maybe the beta version of iOS 17 had an abnormally large impact on the state of the iPhone battery. We can also assume that the overall battery health is affected by some features exclusive to the iPhone 14 Pro. But the strange thing is that not all users are experiencing the battery problem.
