Xiaomi discontinues support for three budget smartphones
Xiaomi has an "End of Life" (EOL) list where it lists devices that have been completely discontinued. And recently, three budget smartphones have been added to this list.

So, Xiaomi is discontinuing support for the Redmi Note 9, Redmi 9 and POCO M2. These devices will not get the fresh MIUI 14 update. Being placed on the EOL list means that the manufacturer will no longer provide official software updates, security patches or technical support for these devices.
Incidentally, Xiaomi was considering releasing MIUI 14 for these devices and there were a few leaked builds, but it never happened as a result.
At the same time, Xiaomi unexpectedly Xiaomi has changed its mind about ending the lifecycle of the Redmi Note 9 Pro and will continue to release updates for the 2020 smartphone - this smartphone will continue to receive Android OS security updates.
