Xiaomi released headphones with USB Type-C for Mi 6 and not only
After the presentation of the flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6, which did not have room for a 3.5-mm audio jack, the Chinese company immediately began to extol the digital sound. With all its advantages, Xiaomi did not have headphones with USB Type-C, and it's time to correct this omission. The Xiaomi Mi Noise Cancelling Type-C headset with the new connector already appeared in the company store on the Tmall marketplace.
What is interesting about them?
In shape, the headphones resemble the hybrid Xiaomi Mi Quantie "Hybrid Pro", previously visited by us on the review. The range of reproduced frequencies is 20-20000 Hz, and the main feature of the new model is the active noise reduction function (50-2000 Hz). The emitters are enclosed in a black casing made of titanium alloy, the wire is protected by a braid. The console got an additional button for activating the noise suppression system. The headphones are designed with the participation of musician Luca Bignardi (Luca Bignardi).
Price and compatibility
Xiaomi headphones with USB Type-C were valued at 299 yuan, which is equivalent to $ 43 at the current exchange rate. More affordable model in the style of EarPods is with LeEco ( for $ 13 on AliExpress), and the complete headset of the flagship HTC U11 with active noise cancellation costs about $ 40. All three options are officially compatible only with the devices of the manufacturer, and other devices may have problems. Even Xiaomi fully supports only the flagships of recent years: Mi 6, Mi 5s Plus, Mi 5s, Mi 5, Mi Note 2, Mi MIX. The Xiaomi Mi 4C and Mi 4S will not work buttons, and for the Mi 5C and Redmi Pro, the headphones do not fit.
