Google Assistant will appear on smartphones with Android Lollipop and tablets on Android Nougat

Google officially announced the release of the voice assistant Google Assistant on tablets and smartphones with previous versions of the OS. Now it works on two generations of Pixel flagships and other devices with Android 6.0 and higher, and on the tablets it does not exist in principle.

Google Assistant to the masses

According to the representatives of the company, Google Assistant will appear on the tablets running Android 6.0 Nougat next week. True, the assistant will appear so far only in the US, on tablets with English.

Google Assistant will be available for smartphones with Android 5.0 Lollipop. The output of the application will not be limited to the territory of North America and will first be released in Australia, Canada, Singapore, Britain, India, Mexico, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Germany and Brazil. Gradually the list of countries will expand and perhaps very soon the voice assistant will get to smartphones on Android Lollipop and in Ukraine, Russia and CIS countries.
