Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + will receive Android 8 Oreo not earlier than January
In November, Samsung began testing the beta version of Android 8.0 update Oreo for the flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8 +, and now the developers have named the approximate date of the final assembly.
When to expect?
According to the admins of the British Beta testers community, the update will be ready by the end of January, although if there are unexpected problems, the release may be postponed until early February. Traditionally Android 8.0 Oreo is covered by a thick layer of the Samsung Experience 9.0 shell. Of the new features in the test builds - a keyboard with support for gifok, notification channels, quick access shortcuts for long clicking on the application icon, even more settings for Always On Display and Edge backlighting (when the smartphone lies on the screen down).
The update for Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + will also bring support for instant messenger cloning to log on to different accounts. While the feature is only available for Facebook, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp.
And what about Galaxy Note 8?
The other day, the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Samsung Galaxy Note 8 leaked to the network, but this is a version for internal testing with a bunch of errors. Apparently, the smartphone will receive a new OS after the Galaxy S8.
