The weekly UK game sales chart: Hogwarts Legacy returns to the top spot and Starfiled consolidates at 7th

Last week's UK physical retail chart showed the 10 best-selling games.

Here's What We Know

GfK analysts analysed the UK video game market and published interesting information.

After the discounts, Hogwarts Legacy returned to the top spot, and the game's sales grew by 228%.

The long-awaited Starfiled will be released in full on 6 September, but owners of the premium edition started their playthrough on the 1st. This allowed the game to gain a foothold in the 7th place.

Discounts also affected Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. The game set in the Far Galaxy universe took the 2nd place. It is followed by two Nintendo Switch exclusives: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Armoured Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, which was in the No. 1 spot last time, lost ground a week after its release and dropped to No. 5. Armored Core 6 is immediately followed by Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, which is still popular, although Mortal Kombat 1 will be released this month.

The last three places are occupied by games that never leave the chart: Grand Theft Auto V, Minecraft (Nintendo Switch), and FIFA 23.
