In the global smartphone market, HTC's share has fallen below 1%, but the company does not abandon this direction and even expects to grab its piece of cake in the upper price segment. According to Taiwanese sources, in 2018 the manufacturer will focus its efforts on a small number of devices. At the moment there is information only about the two future models.

Why wait?

As DigiTimes reports, for January the company plans to announce the younger brother of the flagship HTC U11 +. It is not known what kind of device it will be, but in early December, leak searcher Evan Blass (@evleaks) confirmed plans for the release of the smartphone HTC U11 EYEs, known by the code name Harmony. The name itself hints at a double chamber (main or frontal). The rumors reported a 6-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and two versions on Snapdragon 652 processors and a more powerful Snapdragon 660.

HTC is also going to follow the example of Sony and release a flagship smartphone with no one needed 4K-display. It is assumed that HTC U12 will receive a dual camera and a Snapdragon 845 chipset. The gadget itself will not be shown until the exhibition MWC 2018. The issue of price remains open.
