From October to December, Tesla sent 29,870 cars, setting a new record. Of these, 1,550 vehicles fall to the "budget" Model 3 (this is five times more than in the third quarter). The company is gradually increasing production of a new model - in the last week of 2017, 793 sedans came off the assembly line, and the production rate reached 1,000 pieces a week.

The report for the fourth quarter also included 15,200 Model S and 13,120 Model X, which is also a record figure. Another 2520 Model S and X, as well as 860 Model 3 did not reach their customers, so they will be included in the next quarter.

What's next?

Tesla expects that by the end of the current quarter, the production of Model 3 will reach the level of 2500 cars per week, and by the end of the second quarter of 2018, it will reach 5,000 per week.
