Chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 passed tests in Geekbench

A couple of weeks ago we wrote that Qualcomm prepares to exit chip Snapdragon 670 . Now, this unannounced processor has passed tests in the benchmark Geekbench.

What was told

The unknown device on the Snapdragon 670 chip was involved in the tests. In the single-core mode, the novelty scored 1863 points, in the multi-core - 5256 points. In the first case, this is much higher than the results of Snapdragon 660, and in the second it is slightly lower.

In addition, the benchmark noted that the frequency of the Snapdragon 670 processor is 1.71 GHz, whereas it was expected that this figure will be at 2.0 GHz. In addition to the fresh processor, the tested smartphone was equipped with 6 gigabytes of RAM and Android 8.1.

What to expect

Based on new data and other rumors, it is believed that the power of the successor to the 660th model will compete even with the top Snapdragon 835 chip. It is expected that the SoC Snapdragon 670 will appear in medium-sized smartphones of the category up to $ 300 inclusive.
